What you will get from this newsletter.
Firstly, you should know that this space is intended to be relaxed, informal and fun. So, if you’re looking for a perfectly formatted, aesthetic page without the odd spelling mistake then this might not be the place for you. If you’re down for letting go of perfection and embracing and celebrating the good things in life then here’s what you’ll get:
Just Good Food - Restaurant recommendations, approachable recipes, what’s good in at the supermarket, what’s in season for my fellow farmers market fans, condiment chat and more.
Just Good Travel - Mini breakdowns of destinations, links to where I stay, things to do, see and eat.
Just Good Style - I’ll be sharing my style tips, outfit breakdowns, links to things I’ve seen both on Vinted, eBay and IRL.
Just Good Vibes - I’ll curate my favourite playlists, share my love of tableware, homewares, books, podcasts and TV. Plus lovely swim spots, inclusive wellness activities all the things that create the perfect, lovely vibes in life.
If this sounds up your street, hit the subscribe button and let The Good Times roll (pun intended)
Who Are You?
I’m Callie a travel, food and wellbeing content creator with a penchant for buying condiments. I have worked in the industry for over a decade documenting my experience as a plus size woman navigating complicated feelings with confidence, body image and style. I have been so lucky to find a career in space that typically doesn’t welcome someone like me.
In the last decade I became the first plus size, print fashion columnist for Marie Claire, was featured in major media outlets such as Vogue, Glamour, Elle, Stylist, and was the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine in 2022.
It would be dishonest to say that my journey wasn’t privileged, but it also came with challenges, being a visible, outspoken plus size woman online is not for the faint of heart and one that had significant impact on my mental health.
This journey has led me in recent years to focus more on my passion of travel and wellbeing content. To encourage women to explore, see the world and follow their dreams and mostly to avoid arguing with men on the internet at all costs - joking (kinda)!
Just Good Things felt like a natural progression, a space to be in community, to create positive and uplifting content and share the blog style writings that brought me to social media to begin with.
