Last year I planned a European road trip with friends that started in Spain and ended in the South of France. Our trip was put together at the very last minute, and I underestimated how quickly things book up for destinations like Provence. Having never visited this part of France before, I scoured the internet in search of the best places to stay and swiftly found that nearly everything in the areas suggested was fully booked or off-the-charts expensive. In a panic, I expanded my search on Airbnb, and by the gift of the gods, I found what I can only describe as an affordable, beautiful and perfectly Provencal home to share with friends.
When we arrived at the house after a delightful drive from Spain (which 11/10 recommend instead of flying), it felt like we had walked straight into a film with a Sufjan Steven soundtrack.
